Yey! anarquistadoris finally back in Sydney! About time too. Cracked open my new bottle of absinthe and got seriously drunk. Much fun.

On a very sad note, I just found out that an old friend of mine from Japan, Richard, died of liver failure a few years ago. Richard was a wonderful, talented (and extremely crazy) guy - a renowned photographer in his earlier years and later an actor and model in silly Hong Kong and Japanese productions - and a free spirit and seasoned traveller like myself. And my evil mentor in Tokyo!! LOL. And I found out about his death on imdb.That'll teach me for not keeping in touch with friends. I'm going to go off and cry now...

Mile High Jinks

As my darling friends know, I have a penchant for air hostess uniforms. Well, being particularly over-excited one day, I managed to procure two outfits from e-Bay: one PVC and one material with hat (the best part of any uniform methinks). Anyway, trialed the PVC number last week & I loved it! While I was trying to go for "commercial air hostess" it appeared to end up a rather more militaristic "airforce commander" look. Tried to get a dear friend (& sometime kinky air hostess) to pair with me, but she decided on a PVC catsuit instead (naughty minx). Maybe next time. And a pilot would do nicely also....

Hex Orgy

Miss N (aka psychokitty13) kindly lent me the whole series of Hex to watch. Rather enjoyed it, I have to say. The location and production design was particularly special. However, as usual when I watch these kind of things (i.e. series of a fantastical nature), I had some problems with understanding the theoretical underpinning of the show or the "Hex Worldview", as I shall call it. Anyway, my main query is what did the "voodoo" curse have to do with the angels? For vodouisants, angels don't figure particularly (that is, the Judeo-Christian variety - although we call certain spirits "anj") so I'm not quite sure what the connection is there. Perhaps I should go back through the initial episodes with the subtitles on....

Stalking Dita

How surprising that my inaugural post features worshipping at the (delicate) feet of a modern goddess. The lady in question this time being the delicious Dita von Teese!

Anyway...Dita was doing an instore appearance at Myer City store to promote a MAC lipstick Aids Awareness thingo, so

psychokitty13 and I headed down there pronto. Incredibly, there weren't that many people there and we initially got a fabulous vantage point on the Mezzanine level looking right down on her. Then, after we realised there was actually a lot of room right in front of the cordon about 5 feet away from her we decided that would be much better. I can report that Dita is as lovely in the flesh as in photos: although she is taller than average she is petite, everything about her is small including her head. Her facial features are very fine so she resembles a doll! She was wearing a black-patterned silk off the shoulder dress and some serious diamond jewellery (I noted her engagement ring was now on her middle finger). She seems pretty shy when she speaks (I couldn't really hear what she was saying) but blossoms once the cameras start clicking away. psychokitty13 and I took photos (although mine are unfortunately grainy ones on my mobile phone). I expect psychokitty13to send me some photos soon (?) so I can post one on my journal for everyone to gawp at. psychokitty13 and I almost got onto Channel 10 news as the entertainment reporter interviewed us but thank goodness our bit didn't go to air as my blurb was mostly incoherent and virtually monosyllabic. psychokitty13managed her response very well but the mention of "fetish" probably relegated her to the cutting-room floor (the digital version, that is).
